Enrollment Process

At PPLA PCS, we are committed to ensuring that our enrollment process is accessible, transparent, and non-discriminatory. To this end, we make public announcements of application and confirmation deadlines through various channels, including written announcements in local papers, community fliers, and bulletins. We also take proactive measures to communicate with hard-to-reach families to ensure they are aware of the deadlines.
Evidence of these announcements is documented and maintained at the school for accountability. Furthermore, deadlines are prominently posted on the school's application, webpage, and in the main office to provide clear guidance to interested parties. School applications are made available to all interested parties without requesting any identifying student information, such as race, religion, special education status, home language, free/reduced meal status, test scores, previous grades, parent income status, or student ID numbers.
We recognize that such information is confidential and potentially discriminatory.

As a charter school, we are committed to being open to all students without any entrance criteria. Therefore, we accept applications and conduct lotteries for all students, regardless of race or ethnicity, gender and socioeconomic status. Our commitment to equity and inclusivity guides our enrollment practices, ensuring that every student has an equal opportunity to access high-quality education at PPLA PCS.

In adherence to BCPS policies, PPLA PCS will receive, follow and notify completed applications by posted deadline. Please reach out for further information.
